Horror, atmosphere and the unseen

In his statement for BiteNight, Micky describes horror as an opportunity to work with light, shadow and sound, drawing on the audience’s imagination without revealing everything. The film’s selected frames offer a view of that atmosphere and its use of enclosed spaces.

Press on the cinematography

In her coverage of Happenstance Horror Fest 2025 for Morbidly Beautiful, critic Stephanie Malone singles out the film’s cinematography and lighting while discussing its escalating tension.

“The cinematography is striking, the lighting moody and oppressive” — Stephanie Malone, Morbidly Beautiful, 2 November 2025.
